For flanged slurry valves, proper Bolt Torque Sequencing is essential. Because the rubber sleeves act as the flange gasket, over-tightening one side can lead to uneven compression and premature sleeve failure. We recommend a "star-pattern" tightening method. Additionally, for installations in abrasive lines, we advise rotating the sleeves 180° during annual maintenance to double the service life of the elastomer components.
